"Without faith, it is impossible to please God" -Hebrews 11:6
This was the topic of the sermon today at church. We watched a video of a guy and he used Hewbrews 11:6 as his base. He comepared it to two paths that went in different directions, one to Please God and the other to Trust God. They both lead to buildings, the "Building of Good Intendtions" and the "Building of who God Wants me to Be" In the Building of Good Intendtions, everyone was "Just fine" and everyone wore a mask to try and cover up their emotions. In the other, everyone wasn't "Just fine" some people where not fine at all and others where happy. The difference between the two groups of people is that the people in the second building tusted God and looked to him in their hard times. They were faithful to God and said "Whatever you want me to be or do God, I'll do it for you".
Which path are you walking? The path "To Please God" or the path "To Turst God"?

Quote for today
"Preach the gospel everywhere you go. When necessary, use words."-St.Augustine
One way to preach the gospel without using words is by the way we dress. 1 Tim. 2:9 says:
".....in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing...."
It IS possible to dress fashionably and modestly despite unpopular belief! If you have a shirt that is too short or neckline is too deep, wear a longer t-shirt or under shirt under it. Wear jeans that aren't so extremely tight that they looked like they are painted on. Wear leggings or tights under skirts so if you happen to come across a Windy day or a high step, you don't reveal anything shocking (especially if your legs are as pale as mine! *gasp!*)
It is important to know how to preach the gospel without words. Try and think of other ways that you could preach the gospel without using words today. Even if it is using reusable grocery bags every time you go to the store. We are also called to be good stewards of the earth! (which is a whole 'nother topic in itself!)

God is the Everlasting God!
One of my most favorite songs is Everlasting God By Lincoln Brewster. I love that the chours of the song is almost directly the words of the bible from Isaiah 40:28-31 (New Living Translation):
28 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Words of the song:

No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Words of the song:
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
Our God,You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
Our God, You reign forever
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God
The everlasting God
You do not faint
You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles
I love the 30 verse; Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. That verse is so true in my life! There are many times I feel so weak and tired, like when I am at school, and have so much homework to do. I get so tired of doing mindless homework and its exhausting! There are some much more that I could be doing instread of studing! I really don't do that much homework, but every once in a while, I get a load of it. It seems like all the teachers are gaining up on us kids and loading us down with massive amouts of work!
God is the everlasting God! He knows what we are going through in hard times, even in times where it seems as if our world is falling appart or even if its just a bad day. You will get through it! Pray to God and he will comfort you!
Don't grow weary of living your life for Christ because you may think that God must be putting you through a hard time for a reason. There is a reason for everything, God maybe testing you to see how you react. Go to him in such a time.
Oh yes, I also wanted to share a YouTube video from Lincoln Brewster talking about how how he came to play Everlasting God and some background on the song:

New Look for a New Blog!
I made a more interesting banner for this blog this morning! Those pretty pink blossoms are on our cherry tree in the front yard, they are so pretty and pink this time of year!
Oh yes, I have desided to keep this blog. I want it to be an inspirational-type of blog; posting cool quotes, pictures, bible verses, stories about inspirational people in my life, and maybe a cool YouTube video every now and then. *grins*
So, lets see....I have a book sitting on the self here called "Holy Humor Inspirational Wit and Cartoons" By Cal and Rose Samra. Let be find a good Quote or two to leave you all with.
A boy who loved to go fishing with his dad was reciting the 23rd Psalm in Sunday school. When he got to the fourth verse, he said: Thy rod and Thy reel, the comfort me"-Dick Van Dyke
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine; but a broken spirit drieth the bones" -Proverbs 17:22
